Child’s Play in Dallas

I had the opportunity to spend a weekend in Dallas, TX and of course the nerd in me just had to check out the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Its central location downtown, and walking distance from many other famous attractions (Dallas Museum of Art, Klyde Warren Park) made the trip that much more exciting and worth while.

From the architecture to the endless maze of exhibits, I quickly realized that the 1.5 hour time frame I allocated for this stop would not be enough! The majority of my time was spent in the special traveling exhibit called “The Art of The Brick“.

Upon entering the special exhibit (which requires a seperate admission ticket) you are surrounded by tons familiar artwork. This is because the lego art exhibited in the first couple rooms are all inspired by world famous paintings and architecture.

Who would’ve thought a child’s play toy could be used to create some of the most amazingly detailed masterpieces!!

The exhibit will be in Dallas until August 18th. Purchase your tickets here!
